Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known as Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, record executive, and actor. He is the only artist having 8 albums continued to debut at No.1 on the Billboard 200. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the “King of Hip Hop”.
In 2003, “Lose Yourself” won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. This song also won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance in the next year. Another song “Stan” peaked No.1 in 12 countries, including the UK, Germany, Ireland and Australia.
5. Kanye West
Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta and raised in Chicago. He is an American rapper, songwriter, singer, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer. Time magazine named Kanye one of the 100 most influential people in the world in both 2005 and 2015.
“All Of The Lights” reached No.2 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in the U.S. It also won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Another song “Love Lockdown” was ranked No.3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and has sold over 3,000,000 copies in America.
